I do love fish fingers, actually…


…I shouldn’t admit this here, I know – but when they’re home made and served with a real sauce tartare, I get into a fish finger frenzy regularly and can hardly stop myself from nibbling. Crunchy on the outside, juicy and tasty on the inside they’re evoking childhood memories and feelings out of time. But please don’t buy the deep-frozen ones, the poor, mealy brothers of those you could do yourself at home. ‘Cause in the end, it is that simple: You need a piece of fish, a handful of flour, an egg, some breadcrumbs and you’re ready to go. “I’m loving it”, as they say at McDonald’s but they have absolutely no idea.
